Wood Bowl Care – Ravgaard

Wood is a natural material and should be treated with care. Do not wash wooden bowls in the dishwasher, and never place them in the microwave or oven.

Wipe the bowl with a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately afterwards. Avoid soaking, standing water, direct sunlight, high humidity, and sudden changes in temperature, as this may cause the wood to dry out, warp, or crack.

Our wooden bowls are best suited for dry use, such as decoration, serving dry snacks, or holding small items. They should not be used for wet foods, liquids, or foods that may stain or leave moisture in the wood.

To help protect the surface and keep the wood from drying out, apply a small amount of food-safe wood oil occasionally. Avoid harsh cleaning products and abrasive sponges.

Over time, wood may change slightly in colour and surface. This is a natural part of the material and adds to the character of each handmade piece.

With gentle care, your wooden bowl will stay beautiful for many years to come.
