This handcrafted amber dog collar is made using raw Baltic amber, selected for its beauty and traditional use in natural protection. The beads are strung on durable, soft paracord and finished with a plastic snap lock that opens under pressure – offering safety if your dog gets caught during play or walks. The result is a lightweight and comfortable collar your dog can wear every day.
While scientific studies on amber’s effect are limited, many pet owners choose it as a chemical-free alternative. Theories suggest that friction from the amber may create a natural static charge that disturbs ticks, or that the essential oils in raw amber subtly affect the dog's scent profile – making them less appealing to parasites.
Whatever the explanation, this collar is a way to honour nature’s wisdom and offer your dog gentle protection, with no compromise on style or well-being.
Each collar is handmade to order. You choose your preferred length, number of amber beads, and snap lock colour (black or white). For dogs with dark fur – or if you’re visually impaired – we recommend choosing the white clasp for better visibility.

Measure your dog’s neck and add 1–2 cm.
Amber collars should fit snugly but not tightly. Over time, the cord may stretch slightly as the knots tighten.
If your dog is between sizes or you prefer a specific fit, simply choose "Custom" and leave your preferred length in the order notes.
You can let your dog wear the collar daily, or just during outdoor adventures. Many owners prefer continuous use in tick season, but it’s also effective for walks alone.
Important: This collar is not a leash collar. Never attach a lead – the plastic safety clasp is designed to break under tension to prevent choking.
- Remove during rough play or bathing to avoid damage.
- Clean gently with a damp cloth – avoid chemicals.
- Check the clasp regularly for signs of wear.
- Store in a dry place out of direct sunlight when not in use.

Natural tick protection
but how?
Amber dog collars are believed to work through two natural mechanisms: friction from the raw amber beads creates a subtle resin scent, while the collar’s movement may generate a mild static charge. Both are thought to discourage ticks from settling on your dog’s fur.
Although not scientifically proven, this method is cherished by many pet owners as a natural, non-toxic alternative to chemical treatments.
