For this bracelet we recommend adding +2–3 cm to your wrist measurement, depending on your preferred fit and clasp type.

With a spring clasp:

Snug fit: add +2 cm
Loose, relaxed fit: add +3 cm

Example: Wrist 17 cm → choose size 19–20 cm.

With an S-clasp:

We recommend adding +3 cm to your wrist measurement. The extra length makes it easier to open and close the clasp with one hand.

Example: Wrist 19 cm → choose size 22 cm.

As the amber beads vary in size, adding 3 cm ensures the bracelet is easy to close and allows the beads to sit comfortably and naturally on the wrist.

How to measure your wrist: Wrap a measuring tape tightly around your wrist and note the measurement in centimeters. If you do not have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string — wrap it tightly around your wrist, mark the length, and then measure the string with a ruler or folding rule.

This bracelet is inspired by the Kristuskransen, created by the Swedish bishop Martin Lönnebo. In the Kristuskransen, each bead represents a theme in life and faith — moments of love, doubt, silence, struggle, and hope.

The Krist Bracelet is handcrafted from carefully selected amber beads in warm natural tones, ranging from soft honey to deep cognac. Each bead with a specific meaning is intentionally placed, while the remaining beads are silence beads, creating space and rhythm between the themes.

New updated version: Each bead is now individually hand-knotted, a small but significant detail that makes the bracelet considerably more durable. The knots prevent the beads from rubbing against each other, protecting both the amber and the cord over time.

The beads and their meanings

The God Bead (Gud)
The center of the bracelet. It symbolizes God — wholeness, presence, and the point everything returns to.

The I Bead (Jeg)
Represents the self. A reminder that you are allowed to take up space and be who you are.

The Baptism Bead (Dåb)
Symbolizes belonging, beginning, and being held — a sign of life's start and connection.

The Desert Bead (Ørken)
Represents doubt, struggle, and times of spiritual or personal dryness, when answers feel distant.

The Worry Bead (Bekymring)
A place to leave worries behind — symbolizing trust and release.

The Love Beads (Kærlighed)
Represent love: both God's love and the love we share with others.

The Secret Beads (Hemmelighed)
Symbolize what is carried quietly — thoughts, feelings, or experiences without words.

The Night Bead (Nat)
Represents darkness, fear, and uncertainty — and the knowledge that night is part of every journey.

The Resurrection Bead (Opstandelsen)
A symbol of hope, renewal, and transformation — that something new can grow even after darkness.

The Silence Beads (Stilhed)
All remaining beads are silence beads. They hold no specific meaning and create pauses between the themes, allowing space for reflection.

The bracelet is strung on a durable pearl cord and finished with our handcrafted sterling silver S-hook clasp or sterling silver spring clasp, you choose your option. Each bracelet is assembled by hand in our workshop in Sønderlev.

Every Krist Bracelet is unique. The symbolic beads will always be included in each bracelet, while the number of silence beads varies depending on the chosen length, allowing the bracelet to adapt naturally while preserving its balance and meaning.

The Krist Bracelet can be worn as a personal reflection, a quiet reminder, or simply as a piece of jewelry. It is often chosen as a meaningful gift — for example as a confirmation gift — but is made for anyone drawn to its calm expression and deeper story.

Our Signature Design collection features pieces where design meets the natural beauty of amber. The unique patterns and color compositions of each amber bead create a distinct look, giving each piece a character that’s all its own. While the design is similar, the natural variations in the amber’s shades and textures mean that each item is subtly different, adding to its individuality.

Please note: As we don’t have images of every piece, you may not receive the exact item shown in the picture. However, the amber’s nuances and play of colors will be similar, ensuring that you still receive a piece with the same beauty and charm.

Amber is a delicate, natural material. Avoid impact, perfume, and harsh chemicals. Store your jewelry in a soft pouch, away from sunlight and heat.

Amber and soap do not go well together – never use soap or cleaning products directly on amber.

Silver may tarnish – clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soap (but not on the amber). Gold can scratch – store separately.

With a little care, your piece will stay beautiful for many years to come.

Please note! Amber bracelets and
amber necklaces without knots between the beads must not be "bent" or
"twisted", as this will tighten the cord further and create tension that
may cause the amber beads to splinter. With normal wear, light abrasion
on the beads will occur — especially at the ends.

We are a family-run business with a deep passion for amber. For more than 45 years, Margit and Erik have worked with this unique material at Ravgården, our shop and workshop on the Danish west coast. Here they still welcome guests, share their knowledge and keep the craft alive – a proud heritage carried through four generations.
