A Tree Pruning Project in Hjørring

Erik and Christine recently took on a special tree pruning task in a small garden in Hjørring. A large cherry tree had grown too big for the garden, and it became necessary to prune it to maintain the balance of the space. With great respect for the tree, Erik carefully removed a large branch from the trunk, knowing this would help the tree thrive while fitting better in its environment.
Although the timing of the pruning wasn’t perfect, as it's not the ideal season for such tasks, the tree appears to be adjusting well to the cut. We always take great care when working with nature, ensuring the tree's health and long-term well-being.
What’s truly exciting about this project is that this single branch is just the beginning. From this trunk and its branches, many bowls, Christmas trees, and figures will emerge, each with its own unique charm. The first creation Erik is already working on is a beautiful bowl, but this is just one of many pieces this tree will provide.
Each item we craft from the wood of this cherry tree tells the story of its growth and transformation. It’s a beautiful example of how we blend sustainability with craftsmanship—transforming nature’s bounty into functional, timeless art.
